Paperbridge - Steve Messam
An early morning start to visit the temporary artwork, The Paperbridge, in the Grisedale Valley, Patterdale. I chose this time as I wanted to view the installation in its peaceful surroundings.
The PaperBridge is constructed with paper supplied by James Cropper and uses no glue, bolts or other fixings. Relying as Messam states ‘the vernacular architectural principles as used in drystone walls and the original pack-horse bridges that dot the Lake District’.
For more details on how it was constructed and it’s situation you can visit Steve’s website.
